01.Accepting these terms

By creating a Likhit account or attempting a quiz on Likhit Prelims, you agree to these terms. They form a binding contract between you (“the aspirant”) and Likhit (“Likhit”, “we”, “us”) — currently operated as a sole proprietorship by Chirag Garg. If you don’t agree with something here, don’t use the service — and please tell us why.

02.What Likhit Prelims is

Likhit Prelims is an MCQ-practice service for UPSC Prelims. It:

• Serves a daily drill of multiple-choice questions (GS + current affairs).
• Gives access to a Previous Year Questions (PYQ) bank, filterable by year and subject.
• Offers subject-wise tests, a mistake Notebook, and a Dashboard tracking accuracy and streaks.
• Shows AI-generated explanations for why an option is right and why the others are wrong.

Likhit Prelims is not a coaching institute, a UPSC-affiliated examiner, or a guarantee of marks or selection. It does not evaluate handwritten or written answers — that is a separate product, Likhit Mains. Treat everything here as practice.

03.Your account

• You must be 18 or older, or using the service with verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian.
• One account per person. Your single Likhit login works across both Prelims and Mains.
• Keep your password to yourself — you’re responsible for activity under your account.

04.Acceptable use

Don’t:

• Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically copy the question bank, PYQ data, or explanations.
• Resell or redistribute access to your account, the content, or any API.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the underlying question or explanation pipeline.
• Use Likhit Prelims during a live UPSC examination.
• Abuse the service to overload it or circumvent fair-use limits.

05.Questions, PYQs & AI answers

This is the part that matters most for a practice product:

• PYQs are past public examination questions, reproduced for educational practice. We organise and tag them; we do not claim ownership of the underlying questions and are not affiliated with UPSC. Exam names are used only to describe the subject matter.
• MCQs and explanations — including “correct” options and AI-generated explanations — are study aids. They may contain errors and may differ from official answer keys or standard sources. Always verify against authoritative material.
• Scores and accuracy are indicators of your practice, not predictions of exam performance.

06.Beta status & availability

• Likhit Prelims is a live beta. It may break occasionally; we don’t offer an uptime credit yet.
• Features and content may change, move, or be added with notice.
• The question bank grows over time; individual questions may be edited or removed as we correct them.

07.Beta access & future billing

Likhit Prelims is currently a free beta — no credit card required. Paid plans may be introduced later. If and when they launch, we will clearly show the price, billing cycle, refund policy, and cancellation terms before asking for payment. Until then, any references to billing, subscriptions, or refunds do not apply to free beta users.

08.Who owns what

• Your practice data — attempts, notebook entries, bookmarks — is yours. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to run the features you use.
• Our compilation — the organisation, tagging, subject mapping, MCQs we author, and AI explanations — belongs to Likhit. Don’t copy it wholesale.
• Underlying PYQs belong to their original source (e.g. UPSC); we reproduce them for educational practice only.
• The UI and brand are ours.

09.Disclaimers

Likhit Prelims is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that:

• Every question, correct option, or explanation is accurate or matches an official key — these are AI-assisted study aids.
• Your scores predict your actual exam performance or selection.
• The service will be available without interruption.

You use Likhit Prelims to practice. The actual result depends on your preparation and many things outside our reach.

10.Limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Likhit Prelims is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months or (b) ₹2,000.

We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses — a missed cut-off, a lost study day, or distress from a low practice score.

11.Suspension & termination

You can ask us to close your account anytime by writing to hello@likhit.in; we’ll wipe your data within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the acceptable-use rules above or attempt to scrape or resell the content — and we’ll email you the reason.

12.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will go to the courts at Delhi — though we’d both rather settle it over email first.
